1967 and 1968 BC GOLDEN GLOVES & DIAMOND BELT TOURNAMENTS

1967 & 1968 TOURNaMENTS for BC BOXERS

Some interesting tournaments in 1967 including the Diamond Belt Tournament and the
1967 BC Golden Gloves. Of special interest, the 1967 BC Golden Gloves were titled the 1967 Centennial BC Golden Gloves with boxers receiving
a 1967 Centennial certificate of participation.

As I flash back to 1967 BC Golden Gloves, I fought three opponents Vern FOUTH, Steve FLAJOLE and Wayne BOYCE.
The four boxers from Vancouver Island were KEN ALEXANDER, BILLY TAYLOR, LES VEGAS and BRIAN ZELLEY.
At the end of the tournament, the 1967 BC GOLDEN BOY went to Vancouver's DICK FINDLAY. In 1968 and 1969,
the special award went to RAY LAMPKIN and NEIL KNIGHT.....
